Shortly after the “Stay-At-Home” orders were implemented by many states this past spring, Burns & McDonnell hosted a virtual round table where local governmental solid waste managers shared their perspective on the initial impacts of COVID-19 on their day-to-day operations. Building off this well-received conversation, we virtually interviewed a select set of local solid waste program managers, including a handful of MWCC members, to identify COVID-19 driven program operational changes that are likely to have long term beneficial impacts on individual community programs such as:
