Call for Presentations for 2017 Conference


The MWCC Environmental Conference Planning Committee is seeking speakers to present technical topics individually or in panel discussions. Each breakout session will be an hour and a half and include 2 or 3 presentations.  The theme of this year’s conference will focus on “connection,” and topics which can demonstrate connection between the environment and other issues will be given a priority in selection.  Some topics for consideration may include:

Landfill design
Siting/investigation
Public participation
Integrated solid waste management
Coal combustion residuals
Disaster planning
Collection programs and issues

General Environmental
Solid and/or groundwater remediation
Emerging contaminants
Emergency Response
Wastewater treatment
Environmental project funding
Air regulations
Environmental restoration
Hazardous waste
Legal issues
Water management
Energy issues
Brownfields
Tanks

"Green" Issues
Long-term stewardship
Zero waste/sustainability
Land management practices
Pollinators - threats, habitat development, economics
Beekeeping

Food waste and organics diversion
Green roofs and other green infrastructure development

If you would like to submit and/or propose a topic for presentation at the 2017 MWCC Environmental Conference, we invite you to submit a presentation proposal.  Deadline has been extended to March 31.


The MWCC Environmental Conference Planning Committee will select speakers based on time availability and applicability to the conference focus.  Selected speakers will be contacted in early March and April 2017.
