Chet W. Sisk will cover the latest trends changing the future of work relating to Solid Waste Industry professionals, environmental recycling, the new opportunities in climate crisis and personal skills employees will need to thrive and succeed in the new world. He will communicate a new way to empowerment for the participants in a time of massive change.

The Foundation for Sustainable Business Operations

Bass Pro Shops Facility team will share how the company puts sustainability into action through disciplined and purposeful use of resources consumed as we conduct business. We’ll present the 5 R’s of sustainability, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, and Retain, and share examples and measured results of the company’s resource conservation efforts.

Dan Hoy, Director of Facilities

Dan’s career spans more than 40 years with Bass Pros Shops, Cabela’s and White River Marine Group. His responsibilities include all aspects of Maintenance, Live Exhibits, Pollution Prevention/Environmental Compliance, Sustainability programs, Energy Management, Waste Management, Taxidermy and Artifact Acquisitions and Central Services.

Hannah Wilson, Sustainability Manager

Hannah joined Bass Pro Shops 3 years ago with the aim to tell the business’ sustainability story.Her role expands across the business portfolio supporting projects related to Energy Management, Waste Management and Diversion, Data Analysis, Environmental Impact Calculations, and Energy Efficiency Upgrades. The sustainability program works cross functionally with Procurement, Accounting & Finance, Product Development, IT, and Facilities.

Monica Hammon, Facilities Manager

Monica has worked for and with Bass Pro Shops Cabela’s for 30 years. Her responsibilities include Pollution Prevention and Environmental Compliance, Office Space Planning, Design, Project Management and Financial Planning for the Bass Pro Shops family of companies.

Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) is a 400-member not-for-profit organization which is concerned with environmental issues.  The statewide organization is a coalition of citizens, businesses, consultants, regulators, and others concerned with the management and disposal of generated wastes and other environmental issues. 

Annually, the MWCC sponsors the MWCC Environmental Conference, a conference that has run continuously since 1972, making it one of the oldest environmental conferences in the nation. 

The MWCC offers periodic training throughout the state, and offers various other educational programs. It also provides college scholarships and recognizes outstanding achievement through its annual award program.
